Getting the most from a steel building design
A steel building, built to bespoke designs offers the perfect office or surroundings to impress your clients. The range of steel buildings available to you is immense. With a wide range of colours, finishes, plus a choice of selecting doors and windows to suit your business, you are in control of specifying the best image and environment from which to impress your clients, should they visit you on site.
Steel buildings give a variety of design options allowing for no better use of space than a portable out building in the owners back yard or a purpose bought site.
If you're thinking of a new building do you know everything there is to know about ordering a portable building? Out buildings are great uses of space. After all, there is a lot more space outside than inside sometimes. A home owner is often faced with the problem of having too little space or area to organize. Steel building plans are flexible and give lots of choice - classic out building, storage shed, garage, child's play house, gazebo, garden shed, and the list goes on. We can even help you design your outbuilding as part of our free design service.
The steel used to construct the buildings offer a variety of steel profiles that are economic and comprise of a robust profile that offers high strength. The steel sheeting can be manufactured to very long lengths.
We are keen to ensure the quality of the products we use. The steel substrate has a hot dipped galvanised coating of 275 grammes per square metre. The substrate is primed and 200 microns of leather grain embossed Plastisol are applied to the external surface. The reverse/internal surface is galvanised and coated with a standard alkali grey wash coat. This gives a very long life (typically 15 to 25 years to first maintenance with a life in excess of 40 years in normal environments) with a high resistance to scratching and damage.
The design service we offer allows us to cut steel sheeting to set lengths, minimising the amount of cutting and waste during the construction phase. We can allow you to make best use of the space – seeing the design on paper allows you to consider layout and how to make the most of the area.
There are a variety of options when specifying your designs:
Roof lights or clear sheeting -To let natural daylight into the building you may replace some of the metal sheets with roof lights, clear sheets made to match the steel profiles. These sheets are also used for canopies and walkways.
Doorways- the benefits of the steel design are the ease in which the steel sheeting can allow for a wide range of personal access doors. Our flexible design service also allows you to source your own doors and windows, if you prefer. We can just get the door and window sizes so that the completed building includes your personal choice of doors and windows.
If you allow us to source your doors, we can supply secure Fire rated emergency escape steel doors to integrate into our range of steel cladding systems. Paramount Fire Rated Emergency Escape Doors comply with British standard BS EN 1634-1:2000. These doors have been tested, passed and certified. Fire rated emergency escape steel doors include two vertical steel reinforcements in the interior of the door to increase both strength & security and anti-jemmy studs fitted to the frame and door. These studs protrude and interlock when the door is closed. The frame of the doors has 6 jacking bolts enabling the installer to quickly fix the door and frame to the opening.
The Paramount doors we use are subjected to 5 cleansing treatments before being powder coated and oven baked. The threshold and all fittings are stainless steel and comply with local authority directives for wheelchair users. The doors are insulated with glass wool in accordance with British Standards directives BS EN1634-1:2000.
We can supply a wide variety of Roller Doors that complement our frame and cladding options. These doors can either be supplied with a manual chain opening mechanism or Electrical Openers for an additional charge.
