The motorcycle you select depends on the length of time you will be riding and the kind of experience you are looking for. Sport touring rides will be edgier and done at a faster pace. Cruisers will dictate a more serene pace of travel. For a more sporting ride that is both fast and "flickable", choose a high performance bike like the Ducati Monster 696. For an more long distance and smoother ride, pick a sport tourer like the BMW R1200RT or the Honda ST1300 or, on the cruiser side, the Harley Road King. For those riding “2-up”, choose a bike like the Honda GoldWing or the Harley Ultra Classic. These bikes will allow for long rides that glide over the imperfections of the highway.
