Does your dog have weird eating rituals?
Almost every dog I've owned just basically went to his bowl & ate the food.
One exception was our departed mutt Shovelhead who would bring a mouthful of kibble to the living room with us & eat it a piece at a time. I figured he just wanted to eat with us.
Our present Cattledog is a little stranger. Sometimes he addresses his bowl and does this head bobbing thing at the bowl. Kind of thrusting his nose at it. Then he'll push the bowl around the floor and it usually winds up in a corner.
I had one dog, a sheltie who had a very weird ritual. She wouldnt eat before the lights went out at night, then she would take one bite at a time and walk up and down the hall, crunching in the dark. After she was done eating, she would jump up on the bed, let out a h***acious belch and go to sleep.
Hows that for a weird ritual? I have never seen it since.
