I have a 99 honda shadow spirt 1100vt and a jardine light bar?
the light bar has 2 bullett style connection comming out. (1 for each light i believe) whats the best and safest way to wire this so the lights come on when the key is turned on ?? Bought used and bolted on to bike, and i would like to get them hooked up. please be easy on me as im not electrical smart. thanks for and directions u can give.
Its best to wire them up inside your headlight bucket.
Use a relay that is tripped by your headlight. The power for your light bar should come directly from the battery.
My '97 Valkyrie has an accessory wire that comes on with the ignition. If your Shadow has one you can use it to power the relay.
Light bars wired directly to the headlight ( also high watt headlight bulbs) have been known to melt the starter button switch.
