Tips on lighting and set etc. for a photoshoot?
I have been into photography for almost 2 years now and I've never taken any classes or anything. I've mostly taken pictures of flowers and animals but now, after seeing my work, my friend wants me to take some nice, professional pictures of her.
I have a FujiFilm FinePix s2000HD and I was wondering about which settings and things I should use for her pictures? Also, any tips on lighting and maybe some kind of background? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!
Keep it simple, that means both for location and her attire. Tell her to wear solid colors. Then try to find a location with good natural lighting (windows with good sun etc) and stay away from busy backgrounds to allow your subject to stand out from them. Do a Google/Yahoo search for photography and natural lighting and you should get a lot of good ideas.
