Is the Ducati Monster a great first bike?
I'm 5'2'' in height and 148 lbs in weight, will i be able to handle the bike well?
Apparently the 695 monster is a very good bike, but even this is too heavy and too powerful for a first bike - the larger monsters are even more so.
Bear in mind that most countries limit learners to 250cc (or 125cc in some cases eg UK) - for sound safety reasons.
Your height will mean that you need to consider seat heights.
With practice, its possible to ride a bike that's so tall you can only get the toe of one foot on the ground - but its not easy.
To learn, you REALLY want to get both feet flat - especially if there's a bit of weight in the bike!
Once you've learned to ride your size will only ever be an issue at low speeds - holding it up at a red light in a crosswind, parking etc.
