will a lowering spring kit for a 1993 bmw 318i work on a 316i?

I have a european spec 316i and I need to replace the rear springs but the only ones I can find are lowering springs from Eibach for a 318i. I want to make sure they will fit before I spend the money.

The 316i and 318i should be the same car except for the engine. Be careful that the lowering kit does not include wheel spacers to make the BMW Tires and Wheels clear the fender lips and shock absorbers. Best to check with EIBACH about this potential problem.
