my motorcycle died and has a lot less compression?
so i lost like 80% of my compression and the bike wont start even with gas and choke. i tried to adjust my valve clearance so i took off the intake and exhaust adjustment caps on the top. my feeler guage wouldnt fit so i tried to take the top cover of the engine off. i took out 8 screws and had to take loosen the screws of the CDI so i could pull the engine cover off. the cover couldnt come off completely cuz the bike's frame is in the way and the valve lifters were attached to the top cover of the engine anyways. i put the cover back on and the CDI and CDI cover and made everything tight. i put the two covers on the side of the engine that let you set the engine at TDC too. i put everthing together and holy shit my kickstarter is so loose and it just wont start....what the fuck? i checked the spark plug for a spark and there was a spark and now i dont know what the hell i should do.
if youve lost that much compression you may have "holed" your piston. try to use a scope to check through the spark plug hole. may be time to yank the engine out of the frame and wrench on it.
