What ice hockey goalie chest protector should I get?
I am a 14 year old boy and i play ice hockey. i need to get a new chest protector. i just finished my first year of bantam, but i think i'm going to skip my second and play midget next year. i got a tennis ball sized welt in a tournament last weekend and i realized that i need better pads. What chest protector should i buy?
There are many good hockey manufacturers. You need to go to a big store that carries many different manufacturers so you can try individual models on and determine how each feels on you. Check to see if the protector covers the areas you have concern about. You want to find the protector that provides adequate protection yet is not too bulky to wear.
Ask some team mates what they wear and why?
Equipment is always a personal choice.
Take your time, look at some protectors then go home, and sleep on it. You will have your decision before morning.
