Promotional Decal

Decals as a Cost Effective Promotion Medium

For instance one type of decal might be manufactured for use on vehicles, whereas another might be made for use on skin as a transfer tattoo.

There are many uses for decals including home decor, advertising on vehicles and buildings, and for personalising almost anything. Decals are most commonly used on state vehicles such as police cars and vans, fire engines, and ambulances.  They are very useful and important in marking the identification of these vehicles. However, Many people use decals on their vehicles just to brighten them up and to personalise them. You can buy designs such as butterflies and hearts, skulls, slogans and much more.

Decals are made with a series of layers which aid the adhesion when they are transferred. The first layer is made from paper or film, and the image is printed onto this layer. Underneath this layer is a sticky layer, and a silicone coating is stuck onto this. Another paper or film layer is used for the underside of the decal. When water is applied to this type of decal, the silicone layer slides away from the adhesive layer, and transfers the image onto a new surface.

Using decals to promote a business is a very cost effective method of advertising. To transfer your companies logo onto your vehicles would increase consumer awareness and make your business more well known.

Decals are relatively cheap and are often available for purchase in bulk. You may be able to purchase decals as loose sheets or on a roll, whichever suits your needs.
