Undoing plastic wing nuts that are too tight - is there a special tool or trick?
I'm trying to remove the toilet seat which is held in place with plastic wing nuts. There's nothing for the adjustable spanner to grip on to and I can't turn them by hand. I've sprayed them with WD40. Short of sawing through with a hacksaw; does anyone have any ideas? Is there a special tool for wing nuts?
i would personally get a junior hacksaw and just saw through the wing nuts a lot less hassle!!
the new toilet seat wil have new fixings contained within the package, once the new toilet seat has been fixed and tightened it is a good idea to smear a little butter onto the bolt threads to prevent any rusting in future
