If America is clever and can fix anything, why can't they fix Socialism so that it works for all Americans?
Clearly Capitalism hasn't worked, given that 2% of Americans now own 60% of the US of A.
Communism turned out to be controlled by the Russian mafia hiding in the KGB.
Socialism has created Swedish Supermodels, Norwegian topless beaches, Finnish saunas, ahhhhhhhh.
So lets create an inclusive model that works for all of America.
The Republicans can opt out if it doesn't work for them.

The problem with your question is the first false premise: America is not so clever that Americans can fix anything. For example:
